As October begins, I start the last month of my pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy and it has been a life changing experience already. I knew having a baby would change everything, but I didn’t realize that my daily life would change so drastically even before she was born.
It has been difficult trying to juggle my photography business, my military obligations, volunteer projects, preparing the house for baby and daily chores – along with the limitations imposed by my changing body. You may have noticed that the last couple of In The Loupe blog post have been late; I normally try to publish posts mid-month but I published the last two posts just as the months ended. I have had to cancel art events that I had planned for the end of 2019 and I barely have anything planned yet for 2020.
I’m sure all you parents reading this right now are rolling your eyes and saying, “Duh, Tara. Parenting is hard.” I get it…or at least I will fully get it in about a month when Baby Grace arrives. So, when a blog post is overdue, or you haven’t seen any new photographs on my Etsy shop in a while, just bear with me. I’m trying. I still plan to keep up with my business goals, it just may take a while to adjust my goals to my new life.
I want to take a moment right now to thank all of you who have subscribed to my email list and who follow me on my various social media platforms. You have been super supportive this year. You have provided helpful advice, manual labor and good company. I love this community and I am grateful for each and every one of you.
